For the fifth time in a row, DutchBasecamp and the Consulate General of the Netherlands in San Francisco are organizing their annual Holland in the Valley Bootcamp startup bootcamp for Dutch startups. Startups who want to get an inside look into the opportunities for their company in Silicon Valley or get a better understanding of how its ecosystem works should apply.
From October 20 – 24th you will participate (if selected) in an intensive four day program including; workshops, meetings with Silicon Valley industry experts, company visits (this years visits: Rocketspace, Airbnb, Stanford), and you will pitch your company on stage during Dutch Demo Night. Applications are open till August 6th. If your company is selected for the Bootcamp I can recommend you to extend your stay for one or two weeks. Why? First of all, this will allow you to follow up with the people you met during the first week. Secondly, it will help you get a better understanding of the Silicon Valley mindset.
In order for your startup to apply for the Bootcamp you need to meet the following criteria: 1. incorporated in The Netherlands, 2. sell or deliver a new technological, 3. Operate less than 5 years, 4. Have a management team, 5.Have a viable product (or, at a minimum, a demo of your product) , and operate in any of the following markets: FinTech, Clean Technologies, Mobile, Media, Cloud, Gaming, eCommerce, or Enterprise Software.
Not to forget, program costs are covered by DutchBasecamp, The Consulate General of the Netherlands in San Francicso and Bootup Ventures. If your venture gets selected for the Bootcamp you will need to cover your own travel and accommodation expenses.
