Twente Technology Fund invests in PhoeniX Software

The Twente Technology Fund (TTF) invests an undisclosed amount of capital in PhoeniX Software, a solutions provider for micro and nano technologies.

The first investment from TTF typically ranges from 0,5 to 1 million euros.

The provided capital from The Twente Technology Fund will enable Phoenix Software to accelerate its growth strategy, especially in the field of integrated photonics.

According to Nard Sintenie, general partner of TTF, integrated photonics is an emerging market right now. “The market of integrated photonics is about to take off and the design support tools of PhoeniX Software are considered to be best in class. Our investment enables PhoeniX Software to capitalize on its leadership position and help shape this emerging industry.”

Twente region

TTF is an independent venture capital fund aiming to capitalize on new technological developments. They are targeting companies in sectors like nanotechnology, semiconductors, life sciences and ICT in the Twente region in the Netherlands.

The Twente region, with the University of Twente from Enschede as a showpiece, is known for its high tech activities and research – much like the Eindhoven region.

Earlier this month four spin-offs from the university received a new STW-grant to further commercialize their technologies and companies.
