Renew the Book application deadline

Renew the Book is an exciting new initiative. It’s developed to bring innovative companies and thinking into the Dutch publishing industry. We, the General Publisher’s Association (GAU), are looking for 5 startups with ground-breaking ideas in the publishing realm. If you manage to get selected we will provide you with workshops, mentoring and much more. Renew the Book will start in November and is powered by Rockstart. Got you excited? The competition

Renew the Book is a 40-day immersive startup competition focused on providing 5 selected startups with industry insights, network and exposure. The competition is based on the well-known Rockstart Accelerator methodology that successfully supported startups like Peerby, 3DHubs, CrowdyHouse, etc.

International industry experts, entrepreneurs and leading executives of the publishing industry will guide participants through the process of defining product-solution-fit, setting the product’s value proposition and pitch development for an investor audience. Renew the Book is a competition and the winner will be awarded EUR 15k non-refundable grant.

If you are amongst the selected startups we will provide a compensation for your costs of accomodation during the competition period in Amsterdam, a dedicated office space at Rockstart Spaces, and access to the renowned Rockstart community.

Requirements

Renew the Book is looking for entrepreneurs and startups active in the publishing industry with a focus on innovation in the promotion, distribution, and publishing of books. You can apply to our competition if your startup fits the following criteria:

A complete team and a working prototype
Less than 3 years old and/or has less than EUR 2m in funding
Product or service is applicable to the European publishing market
Team can be on-site during the program period
