TradeCast secures 1.2 million seed funding and ‘meets’ Google

Whilst packing their suitcase for Web Summit in Dublin, TradeCast from Zwolle announced a seed funding round of 1.2 million euro to further expand.

The money was cleared by the startups current shareholders and Rabobank IJsseldelta, just a month after the startup opened up an office in Zwolle.

Founder Yillmaz Schoen started developing a web based system to easily start your own online TV channel two years ago. Tradecast was launched in October 2015.

“Currently the internet is full of independent videos”, says the company. But the “TV-experience is lacking.” With the software of Tradecast you can build an online video platform of your own from 2499 euro  a month, including customized logo’s and features.

According to De Stentor (Link in Dutch) Schoen is also invited to talk to Google in Dublin. “They have reached out to us via LinkedIn”, says Schoen. “They want to learn more about our product. We hope for a nice collaboration.”

Tradecast is part of Websummit’s Alpha Class of 2015 Find a live TradeCast of the event here.
