‘Dynamic planning’ app Calendar42 receives funding from the Mainport Innovation Fund (MIF). The company announced this today without giving financial details.
Calendar42 wants to further expand with the funds and create real time planning options for KLM and Schiphol.
Calendar42, a spin-off startup from university TU Delft, helps businesses and individuals to shape their appointments on the go. Or as they call it, ‘short term planning solutions’. Travel information is provided to help the person get to his meeting, Google Now-style.
MIF is a fund that was founded by Schiphol, KLM, TU Delft, NS and Port of Amsterdam and focuses on innovation in Logistics, Transport and Innovation. MIF invests in return for a substantial minority share.
Currently, the second fund MF II of 18 million euro is managed. In the next five years ten to fifteen startups will recieve money from the fund that was co-established with help of the so-called SEED Capital-ruling of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Calendar42 announced an investment of over 1 million euro back in July. In February of this year, they also announced the take-over of carpool startup Toogethr.
