SendCloud got €2M in series A funding to expand its shipping solution for webshops

E-commerce startup SendCloud from Eindhoven received a 2 million euro series A investment from TIIN Capital and Brabantse Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij (BOM), to create a pan-European shipping network for small webshops.

SendCloud helps webshops with the optimization of the shipping process by cooperating with big carriers throughout Europe.

The startup does so by collective purchasing, so they get a volume discount. Combined with several “time saving plug-ins”, small to medium sized webshops can compete with the big players.

Right now the startup is active in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The investment will be used to expand even further. The goal of founders Rob van den Heuvel, Bas Smeulders and Sabi Tolou is a pan-European network.

“We’re creating one European network from existing delivery points, post offices and package machines. This way, sending and receiving returned packages is made easy and cheap for small webshop owners”, said CEO Rob van den Heuvel in a press release.
