Dutch startup news update: KPN Ventures, Fastned, Qanda

Last week, of course, was crazy. The Startup Fest Europe really shook things up. Here’s what you need to know:

Funding

FastNed raised more than 3 million euro through the new Dutch exchange Nxchange.

Magnetic.io, the creator of VAMP, raised 500.000 euro from Volta Ventures.

Microsoft committed a 100.000 euro investment in Grwo during the Techilicious diner in Delft.

In case you have been living under a rock: Prince Constantijn will become the ‘new Neelie‘ as special envoy for startups at StartupDelta.

KPN Ventures did its first fund-in-fund investment in the US VC Cottonwood European Technology Fund.

Competition for FastNed: the Dutch energy company NLE is about to invest its 2015 profits into building charging stations for electric vehicles.

At day 2 of The Next Web, French startup Qanda (co-founded by Dutchie Martin Verpaalen) won the Boost pitch competition.

In Eindhoven, the former Startupbootcamp HighTechXL team is being supported by the Eindhoven Startup Alliance.
