Business incubator UtrechtInc selected four new startup companies for its “pressure cooker” incubation program and another two for a six-month program called Science Venture designed to turn research into business.
The incubator also introduces Ruben Brand’s as its new “Acceleration Manager” as well as a cooperation with Firmhouse, a company that helps building prototypes an conducts several experiments with the startups.

Happi (part of Science Venture) wants to improve the patients’ autonomy by giving them continuous insights into their own medical data. At this moment, the app has been developed especially for HIV patients.

uCrowds builds software that can help organisations to secure the safety of the crowd (for example during events and parties) by creating models for realistic crowd behaviors.
Founder: Roland Geraerts
LeanLibrary (part of Science Venture) markets digital services for (university) libraries, providing users with “quick and easy” access to academic databases.
Founder: Johan Tilstra
SensorFact builds software for process optimization for industrial SMEs, aimin to result in savings on operational costs without the need for prior investments.

BOLAS provides a project and research tool that must help students to filter, save and share the most relevant and reliable sources from Google and academic databases.
