VC firm InvestInFuture and regional development organisation InnovationQuarter invested in software company RISKID. The deal was announced on Tuesday, during the annual Meet the VCs event at YES!Delft. Financial details were not disclosed.
RISKID is a former YES!Delft company that develops software that identifies and analyses risks in company processes. The company wants to use the investment to develop new software products and expand internationally.
“We are happy to have these investors on board”, operations director Calvin Lee of RISKID said. “We hope to show the world that risk management can be simple and practical with our tool.”
RISKID was founded in 2009 (so not really a startup) as a developer of brainstorm software. Since 2011 the company is devoted to risk management and has customers such as Achmea, Royal HaskoningDHV and NS. The development team of the company moved to China last year.
This investment means an expansion of the Safety & Security portfolio for InnovationQuarter – an important sector for the region of The Hague. The funding was backed by the EU fund for regional development.
