The app Polarsteps tracks all your travels. To make a step forward itself, it raised funding from various Netherlands based internet entrepreneurs.

Polarsteps: money will speedup its own journey

According to CEO Koen Droste the community now exists of 200.000 active users. The money will be used for recruitment drive and product development. The funding comes from names like Patrick Kerssemakers (FonQ), Robert Gaal (Wakoopa, Karma), Nalden (WeTransfer) and Janneke Niessen (Improve Digital), Laurens Groenendijk and Martijn Rozendaal (Just-Eat, Treatwell), Heleen Dura-van Oord (DQ&A), Herman Kienhuis (River Venture Partners) and Chris Ouwinga (Unit4). In March 2016 Polarsteps already raised a €600.000 funding.

Droste: “We’re very excited they give us the ability to grow, but even more important: they see Polarsteps’ potential. We want to turn attention to trip inspiration and planning and combine “travel planning, tracking and remembering into one unified experience.”
