iWelcome raises series C from international investors

The Amersfoort based startup lands a series-C to accelerate international growth, led by the Dutch Connected Capital and German Capnamic Ventures.

Fuel growth and build consumer trust

iWelcome is Europeans leading Identity & Access Management as-a service (iDaaS) vendor and the series C attracted Connected Capital and Capnamic Ventures on top of existing shareholders. The funds will be used to unlock target markets across Europe and fix the position of iWelcome as innovation and product leader. The Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) space is rapidly growing and the platform protects consumer’s privacy while connecting them with online ecosystems businesses build.

“Our goal is not only to maintain this competitive advantage but much rather strengthen our product, to widen our offering and to boost direct touch and presence in all major European markets, including the German-speaking countries, the UK and France,” says Danny de Vreeze, CEO of iWelcome.

Seemless integrations and GDPR compliant

iWelcome integrates seamlessly with “IoT” devices, thereby supporting opportunities in connected-cities, homes and cars. They set foot on the European market with consumers like PostNL and Quby (TOON smart-meter), with their seamless integrations. With the upcoming GDPR many startups and businesses struggle, but iWelcome already set standards, without losing the frictionless user experience. This is typical for iWelcome, always one step ahead.
“GDPR is not a hit and run,” says Danny de Vreeze. “The challenge is not just to become compliant but to internalise compliance in day-to-day interaction with consumers. This requires a detailed approach to Consent Lifecycle Management (CLM).”
The investors belief there is a multi-billion European market they hope to tap with iWelcome’s new funding round to speed up sales, marketing and further innovations of their services and platform.

“Connected Capital is excited about iWelcome’s unique innovative platform and its strong leadership team. The company is well positioned to help clients across industries win in the digital domain and GDPR is adding to that momentum. We are very bullish about iWelcome’s growth potential,” states Mathijs Robbens, Managing Partner at Connected Capital.
