ING Group double downs on fintech startups, launches €300M fund
Dutch multinational banking and financial services ING Group has launched ING Ventures, a 300 million euro fund aimed at investing in fintech startups and scaleups. ING Ventures will invest in seed as well as larger growth rounds. “We are interested in partnering with startups and scalesups that are keen on developing new and better customers experiences leveraging the latest technologies available”, says Diederik Heinink, spokesperson of ING Group.
Mobility Lab selected 16 finalists to help solve mobility issues
Mobility Lab is an initiative of SmartwayZ.nl and Verkeersonderneming has selected 16 startups to solve mobility issues in urban areas. Mobility Lab supports the selected startups in the next few months with finding a test location, marketing and communication, contacts with potential clients and investors and scaling. Main goal of Mobility Lab is to create a breeding ground for new and innovative ideas that contribute to better accessibility and mobility.
Accenture Innovation Awards
The jury of the Accenture Innovation Awards has selected the 12 winners of the 2017 edition. From adtech solution Pabbl, bitcoin solution ‘NX’Change’, and malaria detection app Momalla-app.

BUX Raises €10.6 million Series C Round
Trading platform Bux has raised 10.6 million in a Series C round, led by Holtzbrinck Ventures with participation from Velocity Capital and angel investors. The company will launch a Seedrs crowdfunding campaign to raise additional funds. Amsterdam-based BUX is a trading app for people with little or no experience of market trading. The company claims to have 1.2 miljoen users in 8 countries, such as the Netherlands, Germany and Germany. It aims to expand in France in the near future.
Van Moof raises €2.5m through equity crowdfunding
Earlier this month we reported about Van Moof raising €4 million from Slingshot. The startup has raised €2.5m in equity crowdfunding in a record breaking campaign. The startup raised the maximum sum of its campaign, €2.5 million in 14 days on OnePlanetCrowd. More than 1000 people chipped in.
Dutch VC Endeit Capital invests in Tour Radar from Vienna
TourRadar, a travel startup for millennials has raised $10 million in a Series B round led by Endeit Capital and existing investors Cherry Ventures and Hoxton Ventures. Launched in 2010 aims to take the multi-day tour market — think river cruises, group bicycling tours, and hikes up Mount Kilimanjaro – a growing market – online.
