Dutch startup news update: largest funding rounds and why weather forecasts are so often wrong

A rainy Monday, so lots of time to surf the internet. Here’s your weekly shot of Dutch startup news!

Funding

The Hague-based Part-up, the online platform for temporary teams, announced they raised 650.000 euro by a group of twelve informal investors.

Amsterdam-based car repair startup Fixico secured a 2 million euro funding round, led by British-Dutch technology fund Orange Growth, as well as previous investors and shareholders.

‘Carpooling for stuff’ startup PickThisUp secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding from an angel investor and three other informals.

Amsterdam-based fashion platform Otrium closed its second seed round of 600.000 euro, led by Dutch VC Keadyn.

Amsterdam-based startup Media Distillery raised 600.000 euro from Dutch VC’s Peak Capital and Vortex Capital Partners. CEO Roland Sars also invested.

Get Chef’s, a new platform that battle’s food waste, will launch in the beginning of July. Restaurant owners can use the platform to offer their dishes to local consumers, to prevent them from ending up in a bin.
