SEO startup ContentKing raises €350K

ContentKing, an Amsterdam-based startup that supports its clients to get the most out of SEO (search engine optimisation) has raised €350.000 from a group of informal investors.

The investors get a 10 percent stake in the company in return. ContentKing plans to use the capital raised to up its marketing outreach and hire additional development staf.

Frustration

ContentKing is born out the frustration of the founders Vincent van Scherpenseel (CEO) and Steven van Vessum (CCO). As entrepreneurs running a full-service internet agency they experienced that a tool that would enable them to proactively capitalise on SEO was missing.

By making real-time SEO auditing and content tracking possible, the startup aims to bring SEO to the forefront of marketing activities. And by doing so prevent, as it’s often the case, it becomes an afterthought.

The company employs 16 people in offices in The Netherlands and the Czech Republic. TNT, Essent and FBTO are a few notable clients.
